Mist Ice Frost

Note: I wrote this post several months ago when I was still single. Now I live an even simpler life. My husband also says the same thing. Yet, I'm not married long enough to know why this is they way that it is or how long it's going to last. For now, we are not bored yet and still enjoy the very simple life of newlyweds. :)

I've been attracted to purple shades lately. Any kind of purple hues: lavender, magenta, periwinkle. You name it. Blame my new addiction to another one of my favorite YouTube gal, Exquisite Jenn. I love her Fashion of The Days videos. It's not neccessarily my style, but I can steal a thing or two from her feminine-yet-cool-and-edgy look.
If you think that my life is so mundane, perhaps you're right. I wake up every morning, putting on my makeup and clothes, then dash off to work. After work I go grocery shopping or just go home. At home I either clean, eat, blogwalking, internet surfing, or read. Sometimes I write, too. Then sleep. On the weekends I do my laundry and other chores then hang out with my friends. Yep, that pretty much it. So ordinary. Still, I think I have a pretty good life and am very thankful for it. I have a loving family, good friends, a job that I love and pays the bills, a closet full of pretty clothes to wear, plenty of good books to read, and a full pantry to eat from. Thank you, Lord. What more can a single girl ask?

Each ordinary day is like a piece of colorful window mosaic, usual on its own but together they create a beautiful masterpiece. Every moment, every ordinary pleasantries, every activities that would lead me back to my evening prayer and restful sleep, in anticipaton of the next day, when all those bountiful ordinaries would repeat all over again in its simple glory.

"So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God."
(1 Corinthians 10:31)

My life is not what's in lifestyle magazine, lived by the beautiful people. I would love to have some of the things those beautiful people have, but I don't want to be anyone else but me. ^_^
What about you, Friends?

LeeAnne Just discovered you blog clear over here in Idaho. Love your feminine style, that lace top is gorgeous on you. And I love that you include a scripture in your blog, so uplifting. And boy do I agree about putting some clothes on for church and even in public. My favorite blogs are simple ones, the professional ones just don't do it for me.
