Gratitude Journal: Water N Decluttering

This week, I'm so thankful...

That I have clean, fresh, running water at all times.

In the morning, I can have a refreshing shower just by turning a knob and have cool water cleansing my still-sleepy body pleasantly.

I'm so grateful to live in this modern era where such convenience exists.

I'm grateful that I can afford to pay for the water bill, since I know that there are many others who cannot afford the luxury, or even have modern plumbing system to begin with.

Thank you, water.

Thank you, Hubby, for providing for our family, including for paying the utility bills.

Thank you. Lord, for giving us this life-giving blessing.

For being able to continue my decluttering and purging journey.

As I was wondering what I should do with all the things and backups that I was trying to get rid of, a coworker who plans to get married in the next couple of months told me that she would take many things that I purged from the house. She would take a brand-new wedding-gift bedcover that I never used since I already got two bedcovers that I love and use on a daily basis, eight drinking cups that I have way way too many, and four pillows that just laying around overcrowding my sofa.

I'm so thankful that my effort to get rid of excess somehow can bless another person.

In Indonesia, donating is not as simple as dropping a donation pile at your nearest Goodwill. Usually I give things in good condition to my local helpers in the neighborhood, because in Jakarta, regifting - even for unused, brand new items - can be considered to be an insult to the recipients. And throwing away perfectly good things makes me feel bad and wasteful.

So I'm so thankful that Anissa is willing to receive all those things.

Knowing that someone else will benefit from them is such a good feeling.

Thank you, Anissa. (She thanked me, but actually, it's me thanking her!).

Thank you, Lord, that I can give some useful things to such a lovely girl.

Thank you for blessing me in this decluttering and purging journey.

Hello, How very kind of you to share and bless another, but to also see it as she blessed you for receiving it and happy to have it!

It's great when stuff that we don't need finds a good and loving home elsewhere! #allaboutyou
