Check this bag...

Done? OK, now that a look at this..... errrr, handle-less, cracked, falling apart... bag.

Notice how ugly the part that's already ripped and torn is? Ewwww...

Ow, btw, this is how the bag looks like from the other side. In previous reincarnation, this was my favorite bag, which I use very often. Two years later, as much as I love this little one, I didn't have the heart to be seen in public carrying a bag whose handles are falling apart. Yes, I'm pro green. Yes, I believe in consumption reduction, but still... So, I decided to do the second mantra of green lifestyle: recycle.

With some whiteout, a little creativity, and a new handle from another bag, this is the result...

This is how I make do with the single handle when I should have two of them.

The best of this experiment is? If it didn't work out, there is no regret since I was going to toss the bag away anyway. Now I can wear it again, in two different ways - the front side and the back side - ala Style N Season! Hey, I'm a narcissistic, that's why I wrote Style N Season on the bag.
Have you ever had that facelift moment when you almost throw a favorite fashion item to the trash bin, but at the last moment found a creative way to do a little plastic surgery? Please share your stories!

What a great idea! Thanks so much for linking to Thrifty Thursday!
Way to rescue a fave bag. I've been there... recently, with a pair of tall suede boots that I turned into ankle boots. They have become one of my fave shoes. I figured, it would be a good learning experience if my experiment went bad. Now, I feel like doing another!
You have mad white-out skills! I don't think I'd be able to paint so nicely with that medium. You saved the bag! I like its new look.
Thanks, All! I do believe in reduce n recycle, so I'm glad with how this little project turned out!
